Traveling with musical instruments can be inconvenient and risky for musicians, due to bulkiness, customs hassles and potential damage. By offering respected brand names in the music industry, our well-maintained inventory of musical instruments provides reliable sound for when you just want to show up and play.
We offer all the classic and standard musical instruments such as acoustic guitars, electric guitars, bass guitars, keyboards, and drum kits, as well as electronics such as midi-controllers, samplers and electronic percussion, and even specialized percussion such as Congas, Timbales and Bongos.
Backline
The word backline was once used to refer to musical gear that is typically placed across across the back of the stage in a line, such as amplifiers for guitars, bass guitars and keyboards. Today the word “backline” is more often used when speaking more generally about equipment needed by musicians, and can include everything from music stands to monitor wedges.
Our technicians are also musicians who keep our musical instruments and backline in excellent condition. If you provide us with a stage plot, we can provide everything you need to sound your best. Our large selection of musical instruments and backline is stored in San Diego, but is available to you for touring or studio use wherever you need it throughout Southern California and beyond.
Frontline
Originally, the term “backline” was conceived in relation to the frontline, a word used to describe the public address system (or PA) which includes audio amplification equipment such as speakers that typically sit at the front of the stage and project the sound out to the audience. We can also provide the frontline, more commonly known today as live sound reinforcement, and so much more including creative stage lighting, eloquent area and decor lighting, cutting-edge video and IMAG, safety-tested staging and rigging.
